Moths Are Beautiful!

Moths are as beautiful as butterflies, no doubt. There are so many colourful moths around that are even prettier than butterflies.

Today, I am sharing pictures of a few of my garden friends. They may not be colourful; my stress is on their designer wings.

Moths are generally nocturnal. These moths are photographed in my garden, in the evening hours,  resting on the wall or ground.

  1. Great macro shots, Indira! The first one is especially handsome. I don’t know why it is, but I have a fear of moths. While I’m quite happy to let a butterfly rest on my shoulder, when a moth finds its way into the house I’m usually screaming, which is a pity because some of them are really lovely.

  2. My son is currently learning about insects and moths featured in the final classes after the butterfly. He too agrees that the first one is striking and that the last one seems to be a rare variety. Every picture of yours is a masterpiece of nature, Indira. It is a delight to watch your captures, Indira. 🙂
